Manton Roller Rocker assembly for your high revving 6.6L Duramax engine. Manton has made changes in several areas to not only improve overall performance but to help increase service life as well. With minimization of deflection being the main concern, they have incorporated one of their proven proprietary tool steels in the rocker arm bodies. Multi-stage heat treatment process to core harden the bodies and then nickel plated to prevent any contamination from the harsh diesel environment. Manton has incorporated one of their other proprietary tool steel recipes in the valve bridges and adjusting screws, which feature a nitrite surface finish to help reduce friction and increase service life. Going away from the shoe style rockerarm required converting the geometry theory, allowing to keep the factory rockerarm ratios and to utilize the existing camshaft. The heat treated 4130 chromoly .250" wall rockerarm shaft provides the support needed to help strengthen the cylinder head against deflection under cylinder pressure. It also features full time oiling grooves which prevent the rocker arm from shutting oil pressure off to the pushrod as it starts to open the valve like OEM style shafts do. The ARP 12 point bolts, washers, and poly-lock jam nuts secure this premium system to the cylinder. With all of these improvements to the valvetrain system as a whole, you will have increased stability, rigidity, and service life of your 6.6L Duramax no matter what the final outcome may be.
