If your CP4 fuel injection pump has failed and contaminated your fuel system with metal, you will need to replace all the main fuel system components. This package has the fuel rails and injectors that are required to be replaced in the event of a CP4 pump failure. This kit also has a CP3 conversion kit which will eliminate the worries of a future CP4 failure.
Why convert your LML Fuel System from a CP4 to a CP3?
- The CP4 was introduced as a cost reduction to the LML platform since a smaller amount of fuel is required when running the more efficient piezoelectric injectors. Since its introduction it has proven to be less reliable and less capable than the CP3 used in previous Duramax platforms.
- The stock CP4 is only capable of supporting up to ~500rwhp. A stock CP3 is capable of supporting 600+ rwhp in conjunction with the piezoelectric injectors.

LML Injection Pump Complete Install Kit (Part# LMLCP3/4INSTALLKIT)
- Includes the necessary OEM lines, hoses, o-rings, gaskets, and seals to perform a injection pump failure repair. Most of these parts should NOT be reused because there is a high probability of metal contamination in your new fuel system.

- Keep your fuel free of air and contaminants with additional filtration while providing positive pressure to the CP3 pump.
Racor Fuel Filter Part# PFF50216
- Never reuse the old fuel filter when metal contamination is present in the fuel system. Keep the dirty, contaminated fuel out of your fuel system and make sure the new components get the cleanest fuel possible.
Dmax Fuel Filter Head Assembly Part# DMAX359
- Current head assembly likely has metal contaminants trapped inside and or due for replacement depending on time and mileage.
Indirect "9th" Injector Part#19421482
- Your current indirect injector may have metal contaminants trapped inside and should be replaced.
Note:
- After install, you will need to perform the LML Injector Correction Reset. Once completed, Injector specific Flow Rates must be programmed into glow plug control module (gpcm) and engine control module (ecm) for specific cylinder locations.
