This is the perfect heavy duty differential cover for your Duramax that sees offroad use. Made from 3/8" thick steel, it can take all the offroad abuse you can throw at it. The differential cover is a 1 piece 3/8" (.375") plate steel cap bent 8 ways then welded to a 3/8" ring. The fill plug is a generous 1" ID for easy fill and oil level check. The fill plug is also mounted higher up compared to stock to compensate for pinion angle changes. After welding the mounting surface is machined absolutely flat for a perfect fit!

• If your pinion angle is stock, you should not fill the fluid to the bottom of the fill plug, only fill with OEM specified amount. The fill plug is higher than stock to compensate for proper fluid lubrication with modified pinion angles. If your pinion angles are modified, this cover can hold up to an additional 3 quarts. Does NOT include a gasket. You will need RTV or a new gasket. Differential cover is shipped in a raw finish.
