The LM2/LZ0 Duramax diesel engines feature an advanced Active Thermal Management (ATM) cooling system designed to optimize fuel economy, performance, and emissions. This Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve plays a critical role by precisely controlling the coolant flow from the water pump, ensuring peak efficiency in all operating conditions. It combines a rotary control valve and a block control valve to independently manage coolant flow during warm-up (split cooling), eliminating the need for a traditional thermostat.

The valve directs coolant to critical components such as the turbocharger, EGR system, oil coolers, and heater core to efficiently regulate temperatures. The system also includes a de-gas circuit to remove trapped air, ensuring optimal operation.

Features:

  • Advanced thermal management control
  • Genuine GM part
  • Two control valves for precise operation
  • Ensures the engine reaches optimal temperatures quickly while maintaining durability, performance, and low emissions

Includes:

  • GM Engine Coolant Flow Control Valve
  • Thermostat Housing O-Ring Gasket

My coolant control valve arrived

My coolant control valve arrived, nicely packed and excellent condition. I wish the installation procedure was as easy as getting the control valve. Many thanks, very happy with the quality and fast service.

Making things right

I accidentally ordered the wrong year part. We contacted customer service and they were able to stop shipment and get the right year part out to me quickly. It was a time sensitive fix for me as I was leaving town soon for work. I received the part in a couple days and was able to get it installed in a day then left town the next day.
