This upper steering column intermediate shaft has been designed to replace your current steering column shaft that may be making a clunking type noise under the hood and can be felt in the steering wheel and/or steering column. This condition may be felt while making low speed turns or on rough road conditions.

Dorman steering shaft

I bought the shaft/bearing kit for my 06 Silverado 2500. It had a clunk whenever I would back up or turn. Really annoying and always just wanted to fix it. The parts went in with ease and perfect fitment. My shipment came fast.Very pleased and recommend to anyone having the clunk in the steering wheel. It’s usually just the bearing but I have over 200k so I changed both. Good luck!
