These caps were designed specifically to fit the 6.6L Duramax Diesel Trucks and threads right into the factory location. It is constructed of T6 6061 Aluminum and is anodized in green for fuel and anodized blue for DEF to protect the material from any corrosion and to give you that extra reminder to fill up with the correct fluid. We designed this cap to have multiple different mounting solutions for all of the 6.6L Duramax trucks, we offer a factory style tether for those who would like to mimic the factory solution that hangs the cap off the hook on the fuel door, we also decided to add a set of magnets to the cap for those of you who don't want to deal with the tether.
