Made from aluminum not magnesium, the Dmax XD rear housing is much more rigid and stronger than the OEM unit. There is no need for a pump rub kit with this improved housing.

Notes:

Does not include drain/fill plugs or rear output seal
You must swap over snap ring for rear bearing and drain/fill plugs
Transfer case rear output shaft bearing will have a very tight fitment to keep from vibrating, we recommend lightly tapping the end of the new housing to get the bearing seated while attached to the shaft

aluminum tail housing upgrade

Replace the magnesium tail housing with the aluminum upgrade also with the pump upgrade. Installation went smooth except trying to get the snap ring align, just had to be patient.

I was a victim of the pump rub as many others are. Caught it early before the T case blew up. Great product and fit perfectly. Took about 4 hours to complete the whole project. Get all the optional parts included with it it will make the job a lot easier. Also, the guys at DMAX were very helpful when I called and asked questions
