This is brand new bare block is a perfect way to start your Duramax engine build. You won't have to deal with returning a core. You'll have the peace of mind that you are not going to run into any issues that may arise with a used block. This block is based on the architecture of the 2011-2016 LML block and can be made to work on 2001-2010 Duramax engines with minor modifications. This block has some unique upgrades that strengthen it over the previous generation engine blocks. It utilizes a cast iron foundation that is known for its excellent durability and strength. Both the cylinder walls and nodular main bearings are induction hardened. This block also uses a deep-skirt design and four bolts per main to allow for more accurate placement of the rotating assembly which increases the overall strength.

• 2001-2010 models will require the retrofit of 2011-2016 style turbo oil feed line and oil pressure sensor adapter to use original sensor.
