DmaxStore's drive shaft conversion kit allows you to convert your 4-wheel drive crew cab long bed truck's existing 2 piece drive shaft to an extremely strong single aluminum shaft. This will not only decrease the rotating mass by 20 pounds versus the steel shaft, but will also completely eliminate the hassles associated with the stock center support bearing, no more low speed or high speed vibrations. The aluminum drive shaft is stronger than the OEM 2 piece drive shaft and comes balanced and ready to install. Old center support bearing mount must be removed completely and clearanced or damage will occur to new driveshaft!

Driveshaft Options:

2001-2007 Classic Body 1480/1410 Combination U-joint: this option is for the 2001-07 GM trucks because the U-Joint on the rear differential is a 1410 size and the one that comes with the drive shaft standard is a 1480 U-Joint, with this combination U-Joint your drive shaft will bolt directly up to your 2001-07 Classic GM Duramax. The U-joint will have to be installed into the driveshaft by yourself.

2001-2007 Classic Body 1480/1410 Combination U-joint with installation by DmaxStore: The 1480/1410 combination U-joint will be installed into the driveshaft by us. We offer this option so all you have to do is remove the bearing mount and the shaft will slide in to the tail housing and bolt up to the differential yoke using your existing straps.​

2001-2007 Classic Body With 1480 U-Joint and GM 1480 Rear Pinion Yoke and Strap Kit: this option allows you to upgrade your 2001-2007 1410 Rear Pinion Yoke to the 1480 Rear Pinion Yoke on your 2001-2007 GM truck.

2007.5-2019 Driveshaft with 1480 U-Joint: ​on these trucks, the only required modification is to cut out the center support bearing mount and the driveshaft will directly bolt up to your truck because it uses 1480 U-Joints on the original drive shaft.

Notes:

  • Old center support bearing mount must be removed completely and clearanced or damage will occur to new driveshaft!
  • Fabrication may be required for some 2011-2012 trucks with a stamped style center support bearing crossmember
  • This drive shaft will work with most lift kits that utilizes the stock 2 piece drive shaft on a crew cab long bed 4x4
  • We recommend comparing the length displayed on product photos to your existing setup to make sure it will work
