*Federal Emissions engines only!*

The aFe ATLAS turbo down-pipe is engineered to outflow and outperform the restrictive, OE down-pipe on your 2001-2004 Chevy Silverado or GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD with the Duramax V8 6.6L turbo diesel. The 3" mandrel-bent steel tubing offers smoother transition bends for increased airflow, delivering quicker turbo spool times. CNC machined V-band inlets and outlets ensure an OE-style, 360 degree sealing surface. Coated with a black finish, the ATLAS turbo down-pipe is wrapped with thermal header tape to reduce EGT's even in the most extreme environments.

Finally got around to mounting my down pipe

Finally got around to mounting my down pipe. Unfortunately, the fitment on the flange end was not good , pretty much contacts the block where the starter mounts.
Not sure why adding an extra 1/4 -1/2” would have been a problem on a mass produced item like this???
No more AFE for me very disappointed and a lot of work. Not sure what I’m going to do about that close contact area.
