GM has discontinued steering boxes for a lot of these Duramax trucks. This left everyone with low quality aftermarket replacements that either leaked or had play right out of the box. These steering boxes still utilize the factory style 3-spline pitman arm, unlike some aftermarket options which will require you to switch to a 4 spline. Gear box has 700 miles on it and has a flat spot already . Replaced gear box with steering shaft , bearing and Psc power steering pump .

This part is very expensive anywhere else and you have to be sure you're getting the correct number of splines along with hoping it will even last. After doing much research, this part is the best you can get. I've learned two things with my LB7: Never buy reman parts for big, expensive, and important components and that I'll always come back to the DmaxStore for the best quality and priced parts! In my truck, it tightened up the steering and went right in.
