The next generation of Duramax is here. The all-new 8.3L L6P Duramax arrives in the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD, replacing the 6.6L L5P and beginning an entirely new chapter for GM heavy-duty diesel trucks.

Producing 555 horsepower and 1,230 lb-ft of torque, the L6P features an all-new GM-developed diesel architecture, variable-geometry turbocharger, high-flow fuel injection, dual-stage air-to-water charge cooling, and an Allison 10-speed transmission.
