Actually I used it on a 2002 Chevy K2500 8.1L gas engine. I have these deep pan kits on my 2012 GMC K23500 Duramax. They do help it run cooler and the added fluid capacity I believe helps longevity of the transmission. It's a great value if you but the kit!!
