Banks brings Ram-Air cooling to the Allison 1000 transmission. Using technology from our patented differential covers, the Banks Ram-Air Transmission Pan extends fluid oil life by rejecting more heat than stock and all competitors. An additional two quarts of capacity, a break-away Ram-Air scoop, and Banks FlowThru Fins aid in cooling. Cooler fluid means a longer-lasting transmission.

Features:

  • Engineered for the highest heat rejection, improved oil flow, and full oil drainage
  • Adds 2 additional quarts of fluid capacity
  • FlowThru Fins efficiently transfer heat from the oil to the cover's exterior
  • 72% more heat absorption surface area than stock
  • 141% more cooling surface area than stock
  • Breakaway Ram-Air Scoop design prevents pan damage
  • Allows full fluid drainage
Notes:
  • Internal filter sold separately, you will use a standard sump internal filter
  • Transmission Pan gasket sold separately

2005 LLY

Installed on my 2005 LLY 2500hd. This is going to sound crazy, but I kid you not I've seen a 30°F TFT drop. Monitoring on my Edge CTS3. Truck already had a PPE aluminum trans cooler on it, new radiator, cooling stack cleaned, fresh trans fluid and filters. Pulling my trailers anywhere from 4000#-13000# just north of ATL, GA in hills i would still see 200-210°F. Installed Banks pan, oem allison internal filter, PPE spin on filter, and another fill up with transynd ATF and the hottest I have seen is 176° pulling 6500# right now. 10/10 would recommend. Very nice quality on product and easy to install.
