Powermaster High Output Alternator

Fits 2001-2007 Silverado/Sierra 2500HD/3500HD

Just by adding a few electrical accessories such as driving lights, auxiliary cooling fans, or a mega-sound system you can quickly exceed the capacity of your alternator. Powermaster has the solution - high output alternators that bolt in place of the OEM alternator. They feature a slightly larger case that bolts to all factory brackets and uses the same belt. Powermaster has re-engineered the power curve to deliver up to 50% more output at idle. Every Powermaster high output alternator is tested and comes with a proof of performance tag. This alternator has a 4-pin voltage regulator and a 6-groove serpentine pulley.

Options Note:

When replacing your stock alternator with the Powermaster High output alternator, it is recommended to change the main charge cable from the alternator to the Battery and also change the grounding cable from the alternator to the frame/block. When the vehicle is under a larger load than the factory setup, it is possible for the Powermaster high output alternator to supply more amperage than the charge and ground cable are rated to handle from the factory. This situation could result in possibly melting the insulation and wire or in extreme situations could cause a fire. For additional clarification on this please reach out to us.
